Saturday 5th June 2010 Hammer & Tongue's 'Cyc du Soleil' has been invited to power the sound at the BBC Springwatch/Natural England day of fun at the Aston Rowant Nature Reserve. Quite possibly not a lot of poetry, but it's a beautiful location. 22nd - 25th July 2010 Secret Garden Party Saturday 24th July 2010 presents us with a logistical conundrum... (as we'll already be at the Secret Garden Party!) 11am - 5pm Hammer & Tongue will be hosting a Battle Of The Bands event at the 'Sounds Like Summer' one-day festival at the Aston Rowant Nature Reserve, as well as the final of the Hammer and Tongue Climate Change performance poetry competition for young people. More info HERE. 6pm?? - ?? Hammer & Tongue will present an as yet undisclosed number of fabulous, and as yet, unnamed poets and performers on the Pavilion Stage at the Truck Festival. THE HAMMER & TONGUE OPEN SLAM @ The Banshee Labyrinth This one's free too! Start: 9.45pm Nightly spoken word extravaganza: special guest artists plus your chance to shine in the Open Poetry Slam. A poetry slam is a live democratic poetry competition where random audience members are made judges, giving scores to a series of three-minute performances. 'Hammer & Tongue have reinvented the medium for the hip-hop generation' (Guardian); 'The best live poetry is to be found at the Hammer & Tongue slams' (Sunday Times).
