National Slam Final Date 31st March - Wilton's Music Hall, London

New venue for Oxford - The Old Fire Station

DIZRAELI confirmed
as guest for February

Hammer & Tongue has had a busy time continuing its successful work in schools and other educational venues as well as creating  stages at festivals.
This summer saw the launch of the LightFoot Sound System a bicycle and solar powered public address system. This has been an excellent tool for introducing kids to a creative response to climate change. It is also a brilliant way to have zero carbon entertainment at your event,  workshop, festival or party.  If you are interested in making use of this magnificent thing contact  Steve at: events@hammerandtongue.co.uk or call the office on:
01865 403357.

The Nail - Special Feature
'Reversing the Damage'

A climate change book / CD that contains poems, photo's, drawings, prose, articles and a whole CD of amazing performance poetry and song including Will Holloway, Inflatable Buddha, Mark Browne and Seize The Day, all responding to the issue of Climate Change.  Available at any Hammer and Tongue event. Otherwise contact Steve Larkin or Sophie.

FEBRUARY'S
SPECIAL GUEST STAR...
DIZRAELI

"... one of the greatest folk singers of all time, draws the biggest crowd of the weekend... It's Dizraeli & The Small Gods, however, telling touching, funny stories of riots, atheism, Englishness, through folk, rap, spoken word and hymns, who embody 21st-century folk."

The Independent, August 2011.

“A standing ovation at the end (a near unheard-of phenomenon in the sedate Poetry Tent … reaffirmed my continued belief that whatever form Diz is playing in, he’s deserving of a much higher status. Definitely one to catch at every opportunity.”

“[Bomb Tesco] is great man…brill track..love to play it on radio 1 but I'd get sacked.”

Rob Da Bank (Radio 1)
